Removing custom menu items
File Buddy can add items specific to your work habits to several pop-up menus to give you convenient access to them in the future. Some items, such as file types and creator signatures, are added automatically. Others, such as alias destination folders and programs to open items in the Info and List windows are added only when you add them.

To remove any of these items:

  1. Open the menu.
  2. Press the Command (⌘) key.
  3. Select the menu item to remove.
When removing items from a menu belonging to a toolbar item, be sure to wait until after the menu has opened to press the Command key. If you press the Command key before clicking the toolbar item, the system will see it as a Command-click, which is used to drag a toolbar item to a new location or off the toolbar, and the menu will not open.
